The Mayor" whose real name is Nile Tariq Nu'Man has been a fixture in Middle East (DC Maryland & Virginia) hip hop for years. While some acts gain local celebrity status and falter year after year making room for the next hot thing, "The Mayor" has consistently put out mixtapes, singles and EP's that have all sold into the thousands(25 thousand to be exact making him THE TOP Indie seller in The Middle East). In 2002 "The Mayor" started Grown A$$ Man Entertainment (G.A.M.E.) and since has released a slew of product ranging from the "Welcome To The Middle East" mix cds, released by the collective of G.A.M.E.'s roster "The G.O.V." to his current project: Politically Incorrect.

âThe Mayor" combines life's most interesting situations and scenarios with a musical backdrop that would be hard to rival even with the steepest of pools of industry level production. His beat selecting ability is SICK! He always picks sonically pleasing instrumentals to be the canvas for his masterpiece artwork. He has gained airplay in a closed radio market being the only local artist added to DC radio station WPGC's rotation list in the last three years. He has also received airplay on DC's other station Radio Ones "WKYS". He has also made appearances on MTV's Direct Effect and Bet's 106 and Park.

His hustle and flow have made him almost as popular as the movie by the same name in the streets of DC which he has named "The Middle East" because of there close proximity DC, Maryland and Virginia, have been clumped together to form a stronger pool for a fan base, that alone should show you his marketing savvy; he has also named himself "Mayor of The Middle East". However being A Washington DC native The Mayor had to give DC its own name: D.ollar C.ity thus making him The Dollar City King, one of his many alias'.

The Mayor's mission is simple: to create good music that reflects his life experiences while entertaining and educating the listener. The Mayor's story is legendary, from his freestyle battles where he either won the battle or won the fist fight to his brief stint as a pimp (see Hustle & Flow for details) to his community work with the kids of the Middle East USA (DC/MD/VA.). His life story reads like a VH1 behind the music special. He was abandoned by his father at birth. At age 11 he found his mother's dead body, she was a victim of a heart attack. He moved in with an aunt who couldn't control him so he was sent to military school in Virginia. He came home to DC for high school a devout sunni muslim who studied with the Rasta's and the Nation of God's and Earth's.

He later found himself a high school graduate/college dropout who could only feed himself by selling weed and stealing/robbing people and making trips to the pawn shop. His lack of ability to find a job lead him down roads no one including The Mayor ever thought he would go down. He always knew it was more to life than the streets so he always felt out of place in the streets but when times got hard all he had was the streets.

He turned his hustling abilities into Grown A$$ Man Entertainment(G.A.M.E.) a DC based record label. Instead of selling sex or weed he now sells CD's and applies the same philosophy to selling music that he did to selling anything else, STAY OUTSIDE UNTIL THE MONEY COMES. Now at the ripe old age of 20 something "The Mayor" wants to share it with you in his own Politically Incorrect way. GAME!!!!
