Born in Guyana, South America and having lived most of her life in the United Kingdom, Maureen Gee came to the US in 1996, bringing with her an extensive background ranging from College Professor to singer/songwriter/producer and actress. Acquiring a strong faith from her experiences of singing in church choirs and as a soloist, she demonstrates versatility with all genres of music and is truly an eclectic artist/writer.
Maureen Gee sincerely loves and honors God and writes and sings of His wonderful and amazing goodness and unspeakable joy; she encourages all who listen to her lyrics to truly believe in Him; that He never leaves or forsakes any of His children; she wants us to let God know we want Him in our lives. As a motivational speaker she implores us, thru testimonies, to believe GOD is REAL and to TRY HIM.
This songsterâs God given gifts has earned her many accolades; she has an interesting âArtist Milestonesâ list. It includes her being spotlighted as AGMA Artist of the month (Dec.â03); she is featured on the GMA compilation play list (April, â04); also BET featured her commercial (Feb/March â06), spotlighting her âSweetest Lullabyâ single from her album.
