The rumors and speculation can now be put to rest.
Over the past four months we have been in the field recruiting some of the rawest talent on the streets of Pasadena Ca (The 626). During our efforts we discovered Jonez Maguyva. Elevated Records presents a young, witty and highly talented emcee off the streets of Pasadena/ Palmdale California. Since June 2005 Jonez has been making a name for himself as a âfreestyle masterâ proving that this is HIS industry. He has been crowned victorious in numerous emcee battles throughout the Greater Los Angeles/San Fernando Valley area. Even the famous âThe Rowâ located on the campus of University of Southern California hosted several of his fiercest battles. From street corners to stages promoters and fans began recognizing that when J. Maguyvâ began to speak, the oppositionâs chances of a victory diminished immediately. His mind-bending rhythmic patterns, subject awareness, and lyrical content place Jonez in a class of his own.
After inking Maguyv' it was all business. The project in its entirety was approached with an urgent need to accurately bring the City of Pasadena to listeners who might be unaware of the latent talent in the city. Teaming up with Elevated Record's Producer/Artist Concept, Jonez hit the booth and began reporting the streets from a raw, realistic and up-close-and-personal perspective. Throughout the album's sixteen headbanging tracks, audiences will be amazed at the albums simplicity while portraying it's deep and conceptual content.
It provides something for everyone! From those entering their sophmore year in high school to white collar workers ages 30+. If you are a die hard fan of music (ie. Hip Hop R&G) You will not be disappointed.
