2006 Psychological EP (FDME)
What started out as guest appearances on Organix (The Roots first album, 1993) for the South Philly native, transposed into a full-time career for this anomaly of an Emcee named Malik B AKA M_Illitant AKA M-80 AKA.....He's world reknowned. He's toured throughout all of U.S and Europe. He's performed with the legendary Last Poets and Roy Ayers to jam sessions with Jill Scott.
Malik B has also recorded, toured and performed with a plethora of artists including:
Erykah Badu, Guru, Common, Q-Tip, Flow Brown, Beanie Siegal, The Pharcyde, De La Soul, Busta Rhymes, The Fugees, Scott Storch, James Poyser, DJ Premiere, Diamond D,
Many would assume his demise following Things Fall Apart. They assumed wrong. While being nomadic by nature, it was inevitable for Malik B bumps heads with Hakim Woods of FDME to produce what some would call a confessional album consisting of raw freestyles from the gut entitled Street Assault.
In 2006 Malik releases the Psychological EP with FDME. This is only the beginning of solo projects from Malik B. Malik B will also be featured on The Roots' last album on Geffen Records coming 2006.
