Those of you who truly love music, - I mean songs with timeless lyricâs and classic melodies, Manny Lagodâs new CD âSomethingâ is not to be missed. Iâve known Manny personally for years now and his voice is like fine wine. âIt getâs better with age!â Heâs a singerâs singer. When you hear that voice â your listening to all the greats, The cool Sinatra phrasing, Nat King Coleâs dynamic pitch, and the smooth baritone of my all time favorite, Matt Monro. For you the audience â it will be a chance to really identify, appreciate and applaud the talents of one of Hawaiiâs all time best, Manny LaGod. See Him!

Nice job Manny! It's been a joy watching, (and hearing) you create this CD!! I look forward to more music with you - you are a joy to work with. (Do your fans know you play Stevie Wonder Bass parts too, and that you play Rock 'n Roll with the best of them?) I look forward to owning the finished copy!

Fantastic Manny! Never knew you had that much talent.

Genre: Jazz, Easy Listening.

Manny LaGod played clarinet at Farrington H.S. band sitting next to the future ex-governor of Hawaii, Ben Cayetano! Manny also played Alto Sax in a 16 piece dance band called "The Blue Clefs"

Manny was also a member of the now disbanded popular Hawaiian group "The Aliis!" The Allis were the back up group for Don Ho of "Tiny Bubbles" fame in the mid-60's. Manny Played bass and vocalized with the other members of the Aliis with rich background harmonies for Don Ho.

The Aliis were formed specially to represent Hawaii and it's music as an independant group in the Air Force stationed at Bolling AFB, Washington D.C. and entertained at Air force facilities across the continental United States and Bermuda!

The Aliis were also signed to the "Reprise" label with producer "Sonny Burke" Manny has many spot solo's on several of the Aliis albums!

As a composer and arranger, Manny finally decided to record his own full length CD recently released July 2006. Manny has appeared with his own show in Las Vegas and Southern California.

One of the most exciting event was performing for Englebert Humperdink at his private birthday party in Las veges!

My recording of the song "something" written by George Harrison of the famous "Beatles" showcases my voice and a little twist for my love of "Jazz and Swing!"

Collaborating with Larry Cansler, past arranger/writer with Kenny Rogers and the First Edition, Larry arranged one of the very first songs I had ever written called âSunday Morningsâ about hang gliding from the cliffs off Makapu Beach on the east side of Oahu. Yes, it was on a Sunday morning!

âBeautiful Hawaiiâ was written after being away from the Islands for an extended period of time and being home sick!

âAloha I Love youâ the last song on this CD was written after family members from Los Angeles visited and stayed a month with me in Hawaii. This song describes the things we did and the deep feelings I had for my relatives in Los Angeles. It was also my farewell song as I was planning to move to Los Angeles to pursue my musical career.

âBright Sunny Dayâ is the first song I had ever composed and arranged entirely. This was written by me for Englebert Humperdink after I had performed in a private birthday party for him in Las Vegas early 1980.
