13 MP3 Songs
POP: 90's Pop, EASY LISTENING: Soft Rock
Details:
This is an album about the power of God and what he does in spite of all of our shortcomings, failures and blemishes. Full of simple songs that state, "In spite of me, you love me / In spite of me, you can use me / In spite of me, you choose to bless me" and "i know you are holy / and i know i'm unworthy / yet you sent Jesus to die for me / all because you love me." Songs not meant to excuse where we fall short, but to revel for awhile in the grace of God.
The majority of these songs were written while I was in college and working at some of my first "real" jobs, interacting with people and becoming involved in their stories, sharing their hearbreak and frustration, creativity, cynicism and doubt. At times there were no words I could say. I wonder now over things I have left unsaid and undone, or things I didn't think to say or do then. So much of my thoughts in retrospect took form in these songs.
Like any snapshot, these songs are part of a neverending story, a journey underway, allowing you a glimpse of some moments I've chosen to trap in time. In whatever way music speaks to you, I hope that you enjoy the stories and experiences contained here. From my heart to yours.
