The Mad Librarians have a unique sound. With the influence of original writing from Brit Pop, Folk Rock, New Country and good ole ROCK AND ROLL....and with the Haunting sounds of a Cello dashed with the crunchy feel of the electric guitar......you better
8 MP3 Songs
POP: Power Pop, POP: British Pop
Details:
The band started in the fall of 2001, as a group of friends getting together to play for a friends "Retirement" party. Since four of the members all worked together as well as the retiree..... they though what great fun it would be to play together and a huge surprize on their retireing friend......., but the real surprize was on the band!!! The music clicked, the friendships gelled and "The Mad Librarians" were born!!!
From back yard BBQ's to large Corporate functions the band kept busy for a year.
Not wanting to be known as just another "Cover Band" in BC's Fraser Valley, the band started writing and playing thier original tunes locally. With the diversity of the bands backgrounds in Rockabilly, Brit Pop and Good Ole Rock'n Roll, the Mad Librarians style is definatley unique.
In the Spring of 2003, the band went into River Rock Studio's in Port Coquitlam and recorded 7 of thier original tunes, the 8th track was recorded live at a dance party in April 2003.
Engineered and mixed at River Rock Studio's and Mastered by Doug Mix of Magic Dust Studio's in Port Coquitlam, the band produced thier first CD which was released in June 2003.
