Details:
In one radio interview, Marcus G was asked how he got into song writing. Marcus responded with a smile, "Well I wasn't good enough to play anybody else's music."

Not entirely true, Marcus G has been writing and playing music with a message, both originals and covers, for over twenty-five years. His music and his master storytelling reflect his spiritual depth, playful humor and hopeful and encouraging character.

His performance style of blending music and story has helped connect audiences throughout the United States and Canada. In 2001, he received a Presidential Citation from President George W. Bush and a note of thanks from Past NYC Mayor, Rudolph Giuliani, for his post 9-11 tribute song called "Shoulder to Shoulder" and in the early-1990s, his song "I Hear You Calling" went Top 10 in Northern Ontario.
