The American Project for Manners & Civility

Inspiring a new generation of socially competent and confident childrenâand making it fun!

1-866-ASK-JUDI 604.530.4346

Judi The Manners Lady, the award-winning entertainer and educational speaker is sweeping the U.S. with her music and her three-pronged message of good manners: the empowerment of R-E-S-P-E-C-T, the secrets of The Golden Rule and the power of an Attitude of Gratitude! Teachers, parents and children across the nation are responding to her mission of influencing this generation in important life principles of respect and good manners through her concerts and seminars at American elementary and high schools and through âThe Manners Club Kitâ which includes The Manners Club Handbook for Kids, Judiâs award-winning CD, âItâs Fun To Have Good Manners!â and color posters of: The Bad Manners Monstersâ¢, Introduction Skills, R-E-S-P-E-C-T Diamond, Princess Spoon & Good Manners Pledge.

As Director of The American Project for Manners & Civility, Judiâs passion is to inspire the nationâat all level of societyâgovernment, schools, businesses, churches, service clubs, and Boy Scouts and Girls Scoutsâto embrace and live with the timeless virtues that create a firm foundation for a civil society. Judiâs program reaffirms President Bushâs challenge to parents to âsend your children to Kindergarten knowing their manners.â

In March â05, The Boston Globe picked Park Street Church & Park Street Schoolâs Weekend with The Manners Lady as âThe Best Weekend Pick for Families!â The Manners Club provides fun resources for parents and teachers to teaching character and mannersâkindness, respect, putting others first, honoring our parents & eldersâhelp children learn practical ways of showing kindness.

Sometimes an idea breaks into the open and you wonder why someone didn't think of it earlier. Judiâs âManners Clubâ is one such idea. But like all great ideas it takes a creative mind to get it off the page. Judi's CD and materials are such a wonderful resource for parents, teachers and grandparents helping us all to see how our living matters so much to each other and for teaching important life principles. I am thankful to Judi for her vision. Dr. Brian C. Stiller President, Tyndale College

"Judi Vankevich aka The Manners Lady, is influencing the next generation through her powerful Manners Lady music and Manners Club materials. In a winsome, attractive, fun and exciting way using music, visuals and mnemonic devices, she is helping young children (and adults!) learn the powerful principals of civilized living. Bravo! Every school and family needs her material!" Dr. Ted Baehr, Chairman, Movieguide, A Family Guide to Movies and Entertainment

Judiâs live concerts and her Manners Boot Camp for Teens have been featured on the covers of The Boston Globe, Christian Science Monitor and Vancouver Sun, as well as NewsMax, Human Events, TownHall.com, The Toronto Star, Todayâs Parent, CBS This Morning, Canada AM, Breakfast Club, CBC, and CTV, Focus on the Family, and WBZ. Judi is helping teachers and parents train the next generation in vital social skillsâskills that are sorely missing in this day of MTV, the internet and crude television. With crime and bullying at an all time high, it is evident that many children and teens are lacking many of the necessary social and communication skills to help them âmake itâ in the world. Even the most basic skills⦠introduction skills, conversation skills, table manners and relational skills are lacking. Renowned Psychiatrist Smiley Blanton noted, â80 of my patients would not be in my office if their parents had taught them mannersâhow to get along in society.â

Judiâs interactive Manners Lady family concert, often followed by her Manners Club Courses for both children and teens (Manners Boot Camp for Teens) is fun-filled with role-playing and exciting music to help children learn the value of living with R-E-S-P-E-C-T, living by the Golden Rule and living with a thankful heart. Her songs on her award-winning CD, âItâs Fun to Have Good Manners,â (Winner of the CGMA Covenant Awards for Best Christian Childrenâs Album and Best Childrenâs Song of the Yearâ and nominated for the West Coast Music Awards) reinforce these themes, and is a valuable resource for families and schools.
âJudi was so cool! Now I donât want to lie anymore!â Grade 4 boy, Seattle

âThank you SO much for coming to our school! You were fabulous and the students loved you and your music! You reinforced all our themes of respect in such a fun way! Thank you!â Tina Leone, Principal, Monument Academy, Colorado

âThe families in our community, including our Mayor, were thrilled with Judiâs passion and enthusiasm in teaching children âThe Golden Rule.â It will be exciting to see the impact The Manners Lady makes on our future leaders and the direction of our society.â Mike Diebert, Medicine Hat, AB

âMy son is a different boy! After seeing Judiâs show and learning her songs, he is so proud of his good manners! Judi reinforces what weâre trying to teach at homeâ Parent, Toronto âJudiâs song about âhappy eyesâ helped me communicate the concept of a âhappy heartâ to my children. And the Bad Manners Monsters help my children visualize the behavior that is not acceptable⦠in a fun way! They also learn that they can say âNO!â to the Bad Manners Monsters and learn self-control.!â Home School Parent, Virginia

âMy son loves Judiâs CD. After 3 days, we noticed amazing changes in his behavior! He was obeying âright away without delayâ and he said, âLook mom! Iâm wearing my âhappy eyes!â not my âmean eyesâ! He also started setting the table because he loved the story of the Princess Spoon and the Evil Mr. Fork. But the highlight was when Lucas asked, âIs there anything else you would like me to do?â G. Strom, Vancouver

Judiâs unique background has prepared her to teach this in this vital area of life skills. Her masters degree in Public Policy has made her realize that our system of government was designed for a people who are self-governing and have self control. âIf our children donât learn to control their actions by an internal motivation, then they will need to be controlled by external means, including law enforcement,â asserts Vankevich. Her honors B.A. in Business Administration and having worked both in the corporate world as well as owning her own business and earning her Securities License has helped her see first hand the skills and professional image that corporations need from prospective employees. Judi teaches corporate seminars on âProfessional Imageâ and âCustomer Serviceâ across the U.S., Europe and Canada.

Good manners involve more than simply knowing the right utensils to use at a fancy dinnerâthey include good attitudes, respect and consideration for others.

Motivational speaker, Zig Ziglar observed that âThe Manners Lady has come along at the right time with the right message. Her message needs to be in every home and school

âThanks for making a lasting impression on our students with this vital message. Our students and teachers loved your program! Even several days later, students were still using your âbuzzâ words!â Superintendent Al Grayson, Halton Public Schools, Ontario

âJudi presents a fun, proactive way of dealing with disrespect and bullying.â Sonja Buchanan, Principal, Surrey, B.C.

âYour show was amazing from start to finish! The principles of respect and honor are woven throughout your songs and performance. The fact that you were able to present that message and make it palatable and fun is the key to your effectiveness. Add to that, the fact that you are a genuinely nice person is what made meeting you and hosting your show a most enjoyable experience. All of our kids---- even the "WAY COOL" ones loved your concert and are still talking about what fun it was and how much they liked being a part of performing onstage with you. You definitely gave us more than we had dreamed of! Catey Jobin, Principal, Victory School, Peterborough, ON
