Kyle Walz uses his guitars to tap into his personality and soul. From reflective lyrics to introspective instrumentals, Kyle reveals his quirks in a series of stripped-down songs. Styles range from rock, bossa nova, samba, contemporary jazz, and blues. This array of tunes shows the wide range of someone who loves all aspects of guitar and music. In addition to the music itself, the lyrics show a sensitive side that is honest and looks for good in spite of the cards life deals. A teacher, Kyle tapped into a resource to make this album a reality. A former student, Kyle Oesch, provided vocals for three songs. Oesch has an intelligent and resonant tenor that fits well over the rock and jazzy guitar rhythms. Artwork was co-created with Mari Gish.

About the tracks, the lyric tracks have a mature sense of metaphor. These are songs about life and relationships without being sappy nor cliche. The jazz instrumentals contain the bare essentials of chord and melody. The harmonic qualities are complex but please the ears of those used to pop and rock.
