James Shepard has been playing guitar and songwriting since he saw The Beatles on Ed Sullivan in 1964. His songs reflect the influences of icons from the fifties and sixties from Beatles, Monkees, Everly Brothers, Dylan and James Taylor. Genres from rockabilly, folk, blues, country, gospel, quirky instrumentals and ballads filled with real instruments and rich vocal harmonies.
James markets his songs to film and television productions, recently placing music in a feature film, Angel Camouflaged with James Brolin, Joan Jett and others. Also writing an original song for upcoming feature documentary, Taylor's Gift about organ donation. James also is known for his faithful covers of classic sixties songs from Beatles, Who, Dylan and others.
