Matt Yearbook was born on the outskirts of NORTH LONDON in the late 70's and raised on a musical diet of music, food and fluids. Despite the 1980's being rammed full of dirty old make up smeared fools the music heard ranged from Motown, Rock, Psyched out 60's/70's madness, folk, pop and everything that lies between.Now living in New Zealand Matt Yearbook writes and records in the backroom as much as his life allows.Recent performances with some of New Zealands best up and coming bands have gained him a wider audience still and continues to do so on a daily basis.


The music has often been compared to the likes of Elliott Smith, John Lennon, Nick Drake, Ryan Adams, Badly Drawn Boy...etc but still remains original with his own sound a feelings stamped all over every note.

Wire & Wood e.p is the first physical release from a man who has been making music and handing it out for free via the internet for 3 years or so.
