In II Timothy, the writer urges the younger leader to "be urgent in season and out of season." The first CD of this series was "Out Of Season" which is perhaps another way of saying that I am "out of sync" with a lot of what passes as church stuff. It was folk rock and blues, hardly the favorite musical styles for Sunday morning. It was saying that God so loved the world that secular sounds and styles could also be used to proclaim the good news.

This time let us be urgent "In Season," that is, Advent, Christmas and Epiphany. It won't sound like your regular Christmas album. I promise.

A few notes about it is all about: There is a Season. Wrote it after attending a James Taylor concert. Probably a deriviative of the wonderful Pete Seeger song, so fantastically presented by the Byrds atj the beginning of the folk rock era.
