back in 1976 mr. nat gave up his buisness to travel internationally and road manage his baby brother gene rice former lead singer with the famed harold melvin and the blue notes group. he returned back to baltimore md. after a few years and began an insurance buisness, he was never involved in the ceative side of the music buisness. in fact he had never sang or written a song in his life. although he was doing pretty well in the insurance buisness he was having a serious problem with drug abuse that subsequently lead him to call on the Lord for deliverance. when his prayers were answered in an instant meaning he never attended any rehab program but trusted in God for total deliverance. afterwards he felt the presence of God in his spirit telling him to give up the insurance buisness and go forward and head up a anti-drug gospel music ministry for youth and families.
