More 8-bit ukulele maddness. Inspired by David Bowie, The Beatles, Sam Cooke, Silver Jews, and Sonic Youth... now I bet you're saying, "What does that sound like?" well why don't you find out.
9 MP3 Songs
ROCK: Folk Rock, ROCK: Psychedelic
Details:
Well it's really hard to describe my own music so I'll just tell you a few things I like and maybe you could get a hint from that.
I love the sound of Sam Cookes voice. He's amazing and I'm trying to find his soul but lacking in his talent.
I think great songs that are recorded poorly are beautiful.
I think noise sounds nice sometimes.
When it comes to rock stars you can look up to, ones that are thoughtful and honestly care about their music, David Bowie is at the top of my list. He did Labyrinth... fact. Any man that sings with muppets is a friend of mine.
I think the part in the Pavement song "Newark Wilder" where everything is rocking out and the drums fall just slightly out of time is totally radd.
I think the band Totally Radd is totally rad and with that I LOVE original 8-bit Nintendo.
It's true, the name Gannon is from the Ganon of Legend of Zelda, I just put an extra "N" in it cause I pictured myself being so famous one day Nintendo might sue me or something.
I've got big dreams.
So if you agree with any of those statements, than my CD might interest you.
If you disagreed with me, then my CD will definitely interest you and teach you how to hate on stuff more.
If you are neutral then be thankful of your calm nature and enjoy the day.
I'm just trying to make my own kind of music.

One last note, this album features some very talented musicians including Bryan Tysinger (his solo cd available on this site) playing his magically haunting Dobro on track 7, some masterfully written bass lines, and excellent Moog maddness! Also contributing is Jason Rabe of The VLA (album coming soon) who helped produce and mix with hawk like precision. And finally we can't forget Jim Diotte of Between The Pine (album on this site) who didn't play on the cd but contributed endless amounts of inspiration.
thanks yall.
