Description:

(ID 1460802)
Three Scottish x-session musicians from Glasgow got together and spend two years writing and recording this beautiful collection of evocative songs. Cool, cutting, emotional.

10 MP3 Songs
POP: Quirky, POP: Delicate

Details:
The Moors are from Glasgow Scotland and are Stuart Duffin - bass and rhythm guru, Carol Moore - evocative vocals, and Malcolm Lindsay keyboards and guitars. For this recording they were joined by Eddie John on drums.

Music sounds like a collision between Japan, Joni Mitchell, and Blue Nile.

This album of music was recorded in 1997 and performed to a sell out audience in the Cottier Theatre in Glasgow, although the recording was never officially released since the band members decided to move on to other projects. However it has been rescued and is available exclusively on this site.

All three musicians were connected through Glasgow band Deacon Blue, each spending at least some time with the band during its development, with Carol and Malcolm name-checked on 'Raintown', DBs first release. They also all performed on Ricky Ross's first release So Long Ago.

This music on 'moor fire burn' was written and developed with support from Linn Records, and without Charlie Brennan's encouragement this record may not have been made.

There are only 300 of these CDs - they are beautifully packaged, get one while you can.
