Details:
Deni Rosetta Llovet is a musician who lives in Missoula, Montana. She is also a Family Nurse Practitioner, a Registered nurse, and a Student Nurse Midwife (eligible for midwifery boards in April of '06). Deni has been playing and writing music since she was four years old. She remembers hearing music coming out of the engine noise of cars.

Her style is eclectic, leaning toward folk-rock, with blues and jazz influences. She like to be funny. Since she was born and raised in Nashville, Tennessee, an occassional twang may still be heard. The most important aspect of her music is its authenticity. "I want to write songs about real things that happen to real people". A pleasant, catchy melody and an interesting chord progression can be counted upon.

MotherhoodBabyhood is Deni Rosetta's tribute to the beauty and challenge of becoming a parent... and being a child. Since Deni is a midwife, she knows first-hand just what that is all about. Just listen to the first cut "Babycatcher's Rag" and if you've ever had a baby, or watched one being born, you'll identify with the lyrics! The entire CD is designed to be easy to listen to, very mellow, suitable for adults or children. The tenth song "The Ash Grove" is an instrumental harp song performed by Andrea E. McCarthy, of Cape Cod, Massachusetts. This song opens the second half of the album, which is entirely lullabies. Some are original, some traditional, one is in Czechoslavakian!

Joining Deni Rosetta on MotherhoodBabyhood are her nieces, Dakota Cannavaro and Nicole Cannavaro -- both accomplished musicians -- and her sister Teri Llovet on bass guitar. Nicole, at age 15, wrote "Rhythm of Your Heartbeat", and sand it on this CD as well. Teri wrote and sang "Abraham's Lullaby". (Would it be appropriate to mention that Abraham is the name of her bass guitar?) Deni's dear friend Jerry King adds colorful harmonica to many of the cuts on the CD. Jerry learned his blues-harp playing at the knees of some old blues giants, growing up in Laguna Beach, California. He's been a Montana native for many years now. And Ellie Nuno, fiddler extraordinaire, lends her talents to several cuts as well. Deni is also pleased to include a cover of Monantan Lars Erik-Pointer's song, "I Will Be There" a song of trust and love.

Deni's original songs range from whimsical ("Babycatcher's Rag") to spiritual ("I Am I Am"). In between can be found songs celebrating the joys of childhood, and the mystery of life. The traditional lullabies, such as "All the Pretty Little Horses" and "Mockingbird" are hauntingly beautiful. Lovely harmonies accent many of the songs.

Deni Rosetta encourages you to enjoy this CD during your birth, after the baby comes, when you want to relax and unwind, or to entertain wee ones. Blessings upon all who listen!
