I could talk about my involvement in music as child through school, church, and various choirs and music groups. I could tell you I've been playing the piano since the age 15 and I picked up the guitar in 2002. I could also mention that I'm a writer, always have been and always will be, since as young as I can remember. But these are facts that can be read about many artists throughout the world, and they would sound a lot more impressive than my accomplishments.

So what sets me apart from other artists? I constantly seek to be the mouthpiece of the soul. I will place my ear over my heart and wait patiently until it speaks over the music. I refuse to pollute my songs with empty words just to complete a measure. I court the inner spirit, establish trust, and wait for it to open up and confide in me. Then and only then, is when, I write.

self-conscious the EP is my birth as an artist. And just as a newborn child, it is very primitive, unlearned, "cute", but very real, insightful, beautiful, and innocent. The EP and the website are not a narcissistic expression of me, but an awareness of myself in a world I felt had no room for me. With the release of this project, I am marking my space in the world. I am looking at myself and finding the value that I only saw in others.
