"Sparse yet confident instrumentation executed masterfully. Smooth rhythm ends abruptly against sharp rock riffs then drift off into outer space. Just the right blend of art and pop, they spank the goove well"

Details:
Moonspank is a band. That band is Moonspank. The band had a womb birth. Moonspank has released two recordings: "Just Another Day" (2003) and "The EP" (2005). Moonspank has played over 150 shows and counting. Holy cow! Moonspank uses vibraphones, Wurlitzers, vintage basses and DAMN, lots of guitars! Some have compared Moonspank vocalist Dave Kerry to Sting, Phil Collins and Bowie. Hell, Dave is from Ireland!

Moonspank can be checked out at its official website, www.moonspank.com; MySpace and YouTube.

THE MEMBERS:

David Keire was born in Ireland during the twilight years of the 1970âs. He has been the lead singer of most of the bands that ever existed in Ireland in the 1990s. Dave also dabbled in theater while living in Ireland, and portrayed Peter in Jesus Christ Superstar for a year, but the love of music brought him to the U.S. in 1999. Soon thereafter, he joined Sarangati, as a backup singer in the R&B band led by Sharon Gitau, of MTV's The Real World London. After Sarangati disbanded, David met Greg Saracino and Tony "Pax" Packes, and Moonspank had its true womb birth. Dave is a damn fine songwriter and vocalist. Although influenced by musical styles from around the globe, David's Irish roots are strong and intact. Daveâs vocals are incredibly strong and incredibly modern (though the roots are still old-school!)

Greg Saracino is a drummer and songwriter. Throughout college, he played in jam bands and percussion ensembles before founding Moonspank with Tony and Dave in 2002. Greg is obsessed with musical styles of the past and may unknowingly be Stewart Copelandâs secret stalker! Greg also draws various juices from Steely Dan, Floyd, Primus and lots of cool local groups. At shows, donât be surprised to see Greg pick up a bass, guitar or Wurlitzer piano and show the world his virtuosity on all things musical. Gregâs bass playing on Moonspankâs album, Just Another Day, has been described as GROOVY. Gregâs drumming during live shows is animated, flamboyant, speedy and also pretty GROOVY.

Tony "Pax" Packes found music in 1997 when he first picked up the guitar out of curiosity. Only about a year later, in 1998, Greg Saracino was introduced to Tony and was blown away by Tony's musicality and unique rock stylings. Tonyâs playing directly reflects his emotions, so it is ever changing (though not schizophrenic). Tony's influences include David Gilmour, Andy Summers and Opeth. Tony has also taken a deep interest in video production and has edited most, if not all of the Moonspank videos that can be found on moonspank.com and Youtube. Tony Pax has been the webmaster for the Moonspank.com for about 2 years. His primary goal in life is to make a difference in other peopleâs lives through the power of music. Tonyâs only regret in life is not being able to play music for his late grandfather, William Batiste, who was a respected jazz singer and guitarist, and the reason for Tonyâs natural musical ability.
