Details:
Better Than Bad were born out of the ashes of the North Platte Nebraska based Whiskey Tango. Already known on the local bar circuit for their brand of down and dirty style of Rock and Roll. Founding members John Erickson, Jim Flanders and Frank Waltman quickly recruited the two headed guitar monster of Joel Gay and Tom Janes. After hunkering down for more than a year of rehearsals and renaming themselves Better Than Bad. They re-entered the local music scene and began turning heads with their new two guitar attack. Fans not only took notice of the bands new guitar sound but also the strong original material the band was now playing. The straight ahead rock of Usables. The Nazareth meets Skynrd sound of Feelin' No Pain. And the emotional power ballad End Of This Ride have all started a buzz in their area about the strong original material the band now plays at every show. "We feel the songs represent us well." states bassist Frank Waltman. "We've drawn upon all of our musical influences to come up with eight tunes that are all Rock and Roll.....But they don't all sound the same." Better Than Bad are now poised to let everyone hear their no nonsense brand of guitar driven Rock and Roll.
