Since 1983, recording artist, producer, singer/songwriter Mike Botello has been involved with many groups and artistâs. Be it in the studio or in a live performance, Botelloâs involvement has touched many through song.
Originally from Austin, TX, Mike began playing the drums at an early age. It was than that Mikeâs father, Jesse Botello Sr., a known sax player in the âTejanoâ music industry, recognized Mikeâs musical talent and ability. Upon his recognition, Mikeâs father would have Mike sit in with his group during there live performances. Through this experience, Mike discovered his passion and desire for music and began to focus his efforts towards playing at a higher level.
By the age of fourteen Mike formed his first band and began writing music along with performing live. By the time Mike reached high school he was playing at a professional level and was involved with a popular local group that was consistently filling local clubs and venues. At this point in his early career, Mike began to explore in recording and production, which renewed his focus to become more involved with the engineering and audio aspects of the production process. This eventually led to Mike producing his first demo as a solo artist, to completing a full production release soon after.
As a young adult, Mike began writing songs of many types, which led Mike to working with many solo artists, song writers, and various church/worship groups. Since than Mike has been involved with dozens of bands along with many recording projects in Christian Contemporary, Rock, Country, Blues, Jazz and Worship. Mike has recently founded the Mijaces Record label and has released his first solo debut CD titled âA Timeless Stateâ.
