Brand new christmas songs, carols and comedies.
14 MP3 Songs
KIDS/FAMILY: Kid Friendly, GOSPEL: Contemporary Gospel
Details:
A Ring Ding Christmas Swing grew and grew, over nearly 10 years, from writing a single Christmas song for a local Christmas Carols event, to a major piece of work.
Some things will be completely obvious to you as the listener. Firstly, I am an ordinary singer.. but with musical talent. I am hoping that much better singers than I am will want to sing these songs and carols. But while it is never a good thing to criticize one's own abilities in a public place such as this, I am also very proud of my writing in this album.
A Ring Ding Christmas Swing is home made. There is no orchestra - but I use a guitar synthesiser to create a broad instrumental mood.
I have written some gorgeous comedies which the kids will enjoy:
"I love a fridge at Christmas",
"Santa I want a bell for my bicycle",
"Santa and the Kangaroo" and
"Three Wise Camels and Some Very Wise Sheep".
With my girlfriend, Celia, two of us have created a choir by doing about six voices each on "Oh Seraphim". If I am lucky, perhaps you are an orchestrator or choir master who would enjoy the work of developing this (or any other) piece for a group of people to perform. I'll give permission broadly for free public performance, but development of any of these songs for commercial purposes would require correct copyright procedures. (Email: warner34@tpg.com.au)
You may even recognise that this body of work is actually a Christmas Pageant, in which every song would be performed by other soloists or groups. I humbly submit that I'm even a bit embarrassed that I have not been able to raise these songs to the level which I would like to hear as a listener.
So, to you as a potential buyer of "Ring Ding..", I'm 51, a bit fat in the face and balding, but I'm a good musician. A Ring Ding Christmas Swing is homemade. But my home cooking is pretty good.
I live in Australia, by the way. So if you're in America or anywhere else in the world, some of my jokes may have words or ideas which are not familiar to you - but I'd love you to buy my album; especially if you live somewhere far across the sea. I'd love to hear from you too. Feel free to Email me your opinion of my music.
Kind regards, Michael Warner.
