MISTER NEUTRON is one of the most powerful three-piece surf/instrumental bands on the East Coast of the U.S. The sound of a reverb-drenched Fender Stratocaster is their master, and the three Neutrons are its humble, doe-eyed (and often dough-eyed) servants.
MISTER NEUTRON was formed in 1998 by two disgruntled brothers and one gruntled other guy. Nearly a decade later, the quasi-gruntled trio is burning up the Northeast with its explosive sound.
MISTER NEUTRON'S latest CD on Deep Eddy Records, "Red Triangle," features nine powerful instrumental performances, including the brilliant "Super Constellation," "Comanchero," "Submariner," "Attack of the Sea People" and "Neutron Stomp," plus hot covers of Dick Dale's "The Wedge" and Eddie Angel's "The Casbah." The CD is named after a shark-infested spot off the coast of Northern California, and the music reflects that: It'll take you by surprise.
MISTER NEUTRON plays in New York and New Jersey regularly, toured Texas in 2005 and has hit Boston and Philly in recent months. Mister Neutron performed at the 2005 IMC (Independent Music Conference) in Philadelphia and will perform with California's one-and-only SLACKTONE in Asbury Park, N.J., in September.
