A musical score for an epic journey.
10 MP3 Songs
ROCK: Math Rock, ROCK: Instrumental Rock
Details:
What is Voloscario? When I bought my nylon guitar I thought I would do an entirely classical album as the soundtrack for a medieval tale. Voloscario is the main character's name, and the music tells his story. Voloscario is meant to be a continuous 70-minute piece of music.
I have been playing guitar and writing music for over 11 years. Listeners of my music will hear that one of my signature styles is the layering of many acoustic guitar tracks interspersed with electric guitar delay pedal loops and simple, deliberate bass guitar licks. Many of my songs start out with slow, delicate melodies that build to complex, but not overdone, crescendos before crashing back down to another melody that leads into the next song.
I record at home directly into my computer using a small mixer, amp simulator and a condenser mic. All the electronics are new as of last year and I built my computer right around the same time, but the guitars have been around for 10+ years. Except the 12-string. That's recent, and that is why it doesn't turn up until later on the album, which I recorded in order from first to last.
Cheers, hope you enjoy!
