Details:
When Mistah F.A.B. (Faeva Afta Bread) dropped his independent debut, Nig-Latin, in 2002, he was considered just another freestyle rapper who couldnât make complete songs. Four years later, the self-proclaimed Prince of the O has three tracks, âSuper Sic Witâ It,â âN.E.W. Oaklandâ and âKicked Out the Club,â spinning in heavy rotation on 27 stations across the U.S. Not bad for an artist who wasnât expected to ever make it out of the Bay.âIn the beginning, all I did was freestyle,â says the animated rapper born Stanley P. Cox. âA lot of people were like, âHeâs just a backpack rapper, he canât do nothing.â Now itâs like, âHeâs just a radio rapper, heâs commercial.ââ After catching a glimpse of his toothy grin, you might think F.A.B.âs on some happy-go-lucky shit. But his sophomore album, Son of a Pimp, released in April â05, proved that the Cali upstart ainât no joke.âNowadays, you have a lot of artists who have no substance behind them,â says the 24-year-old. âMy dad died of AIDS, my momâs a recovering drug addict and my brother just got out of jail after doing 11 years straight.â Instead of turning into a victim of circumstance, Mistah F.A.B. has learned to use his tragic family life to his advantage. âMy motherâs pain, my fatherâs death and my brotherâs inspirational letters are what fuel my fire to continue to want to do good.âCapitalizing on his growing buzz, F.A.B. is slated to release his next project, The Yellow Bus Ryda, in May on the late Mac Dreâs label Thizz Entertainment. âThe album is finna be on some real super-hyphy stuff,â he explains. âItâs gonna cater to the yellow-bus kids, to the dudes that go dumb. And at the same time, itâs gonna have some of that deep stuff where I can talk about whatâs going on out here.â
With guest spots from artists like E-40, Too $hort and Lil Wayne, YBR is shaping up to be F.A.B.âs most well-rounded work to date. Thizz iz what it iz.

The wait is over. The moves have been made. The industry has begun to recognize one of the most gifted and talented producers in The Bay Area and Nationwide.
Gennessee is a producer. Gennessee is a visionary. Gennessee is an independent record label owner, a C.E.O., as well as a songwriter and musician. With over 5,000 songs under his belt, and a discography that ranges from Cuban Link to Too Short, Chino XL to Frank B (The Missy Elliotâs Road to Stardom show), his production credits look like an all-star team lineup. With a strong management team behind him, Gennessee has begun to branch out into all aspects of the music industry, establishing publishing companies, opening up record labels, handling bookings, management, and all other day to day operations.
With an experienced group of musicians behind him, and producers Cozmo and Maxwel Smart, he is one of the most sought after people when it comes to making a hit record.
Gennessee has recently been getting spins on numerous Clear Channel Radio stations across the country and in his home town with The TEAMâs âGood Girlâ, The Federationâs âWe Ainât Wid Thatâ , and Lil Jordanâs â2 The Topâ. He produced 10 songs for Bay Area legend Mac Dre (R.I.P.), before he passed away. A few of these songs, most notably âDreganomicsâ which was featured on the album âRonald Dreganâ (Thizz Ent.), became instant local classics. The buzz that followed allowed him to produce a couple of key songs on Mistah F.A.Bâs âSon of a Pimpâ (Thizz Ent.). In the process he has also gained notoriety by producing for most of the key players in the Bay Area rap scene. (Yukmouth, B- Legit, San Quinn, Turf Talk, Messy Marv etc.)
Gennessee has a few projects in the works. He has recently signed an alternative rock group, âDogWood Speaksâ to his label Noble House Records (noblehouserecords.com), and with the success of their first single âWhere U Fromâ, the future looks promising. His beats are definitely falling in the right hands.
The recent Bay Area explosion has opened a lot of doors......so here it iz....the hottest rapper of the region teaming up with the hottest producer to make history. (it is also Gennessee's last effort on the mic...)
We bring you "Life On The Rock". Enjoy.
