FOLK: Folk Pop, COUNTRY: Country Folk

Details:
Andy's musical influence began at a very young age listening to his mom and dad's albums in New Brunswick Canada. Old time country with a splash of Nat King Cole. At eleven years of age , Andy's parents took him to see Johnny Cash at the Montreal Forum where he got to hear those famous words, âHello, I'm Johnny Cash!â Andy was never the same after that, spending countless hours on a tiny guitar he got for his birthday that year.

As the years went by the influence grew to include folk music. Jim Croche
Gordon lightfoot, Bob Dylan... and In 1980 he played banjo with a back yard blue grass band in Hainesville, New Brunswick called âThe Rock Bottom River Nightmare Bandâ at community halls, smoky legions and kitchen parties.

In 1986 Andy began writing his own songs and developed what his friends called âa shoe box full of tunesâ. Andy admits that most of those songs now reside in a lyrical scrap yard where good lines can be salvaged in hopes of fitting a good song.
He is referred to by some as âThe man of a million songsâ and âThe Miramichi'râ

Andy prefers to perform alone, just voice and guitar and on occasion, harmonica. His live shows are always intimate, each song lined up and delivered. Andy's live show is often compared to the like of Steve Goodman, Woody Guthrie...

Andy was back in the recording studio off and on through the winter of 2005 â 2006 and recorded his fourth record entitled, Andrew's Castle. Produced by Andy and his right hand engineer, Emeric Loan, The new album has a , âSittin' around the kitchenâ feel . Most songs are just Andy and his guitar, all songs are recorded studio live.

The new album âAndrews Castleâ will be available in the late spring of 2006. Until then, you can catch Andy at festivals, coffee houses and concerts just about anywhere. He works very hard at everything he does and lives by his wits.

Watch for Andy and catch a show. You won't be disappointed.
