MC Tempo is something a bit different. London born Mark Edwards was thrown out of 3 schools in 3 years after participating in a string of crazy stunts from taking a meat cleaver to another teenager to street robbery & drug dealing. Criminal turned Christian after a series of events took place in his life including a miraculous healing of deafness, to hearing God's audible voice. Now an anointed man of God, this Hip Hop star first took the microphone at a 3,000 man rave party in 1995 and rapidly established himself on the scene under his former stage name MC Teckno. Rocketing through thee underground, his entire lyrical content and style completely changed when he discovered Jesus Christ. In a step of faith, Tempo burned 12 A4 binder folders packed with his old skool malicious material as he felt it would only of birthed hurt & hatred. After this, God clearly honoured his faith by blessing his career in a big way.

Having already appeared on many a white label, mix tape and cassette pack, 2001 saw the release of his first album "Words of Wizdom". Closely followed by another 14 tracker "Read between the linez" Tempo continued to create material in a military fashion. Teaming up with Zulu Yengwa & working on several projects together, Tempo still holds a catalogue of unreleased material.

Renowned for his annual 24 hour freestyle rap for Children in need (where he generally tag teams with fellow artist and friend Buzz from Digitek)he is also consistently studying scripture and preaching the good news of forgiveness through Christ Jesus to the masses, where ever he may be at the time.

Now based in Brighton, and currently working on his next album "The Last Days", you can find Tempo appearing at various events around the country, ranging from festivals and night clubs, through to school assemblyâs and guest appearances at youth clubs, alpha courses, debates etc. When not performing, he is known to spend hours at a time in prayer seeking God and remains forever thankful for thee incredible change that God has worked in his heart & ministry that he has been blessed with.
