Just four years ago, Brad and Joey T. were doing solo and ensemble comedy shows around Chicago. In the wake of 9/11, they found each other working in the same improv troupe. The group decided it would be a nice idea to have a boy auction and raise some money for the NYC fire fighter fund. Since Brad and Joey were both romantically spoken for, they decided to donate to the auction block a keg of beer and an hour of their comedy songs instead of the dream date. It just so happened that one girl held a crush for both the young stallions. She out bid all the other pretty young girls to claim her beloved Brad and Joey T. Could she possibly have known what a profoundly superficial musical explosion she had set into motion? Joey T and Brad decided at the end of their respective solo sets they would join their forces together for a very special encore; they called themselves Your Little Ponies. Because, the music they created wasn't for them, it was for you. Not a person in the audience expected that these two guys armed only with acoustic guitars could rock with the fury of Dick Cheney at his daughters wedding. So, the audience started laughing and hasn't stopped since. Pretty soon, Your Little Ponies started receiving phone calls, e-mails, and smoke signals from people all over the city begging for more shows. All over Chicago, they played and played, from bars and clubs to comedy showcases even the occasional wedding and fundraiser. Soon, a young bassist and producer named Matthew found them at an open-mic and loved the music so much he offered to record them. Before the first album was done, he started throwing down some super-hot bass lines to their songs and the Ponies invited him to join them on stage. Two years and two records later, Your Little Ponies are still pumping out the songs and laying down the tracks that make people in the audience laugh, cringe, and ask, Damn, did they really just say that? Your Little Ponies is the band that will deliver hours upon hours of driving rhythms, catchy hooks, high octane stage shows, krazy improvised songs, and most importantly: fun.
