Yancy Yates grew up in Tallahasse, Fl and started writing and performing in the early 80s. Early mentors were Del Suggs, Pierce Pettus, and John Kurzweig who played many of the Tallahassee clubs. Yancy spent a few years in New Orleans via Arkansas and finally moved to Nashville in the early 90s. Outstanding musicians on this CD include:
Jim Whitehead(keyboard), Tommy Carter(electric guitar), Brian Wesson(acoustic,electric guitar), Mike Holder(dobro,pedal steel), Bob Orwig(harmonica), Van Odell(electric guitar), Steve Adams(drums), and Barney Johnston(bass guitar).
