Yancy Clegg:
Born and Raised in central Mississippi. Yancy was active in school music programs playing instruments such as the saxophone, piano, and drums. Yancy picked up the guitar at the near end of his high school career and began writing music. Once off to school at Mississippi State University, Yancy began to play open mics every week at local college scene venues in Starkville, MS. Eventually, he established regular paying gigs for himself in the college town and began writing more and exploring his sound. Yancy moved to Florida on a whim and began back at square one. He performed solo for a while and then joined up with some friends and made his first album, Yancy Clegg: In Spite of it All.
