Dave Overthrow has been a performer for over 30 years. He attended Berklee College of Music and earned a Jazz Performance Degree from Western Connecticut State University. Dave has been a bass instructor at the National Guitar Workshop since it's inception in 1983. He has authored 8 instructional electric bass books, filmed and released 3 instructional DVD's, has filmed video bass lessons for and can be seen on workshoplive.com. Dave has two CD's released 1) In The Pocket 2) 2 Hot To Touch. In addition to serving a three year stint as a staff writer for Bass Guitar Magazine Dave is the Director of Music and head of jazz Studies at the Canterbury School in new Milford CT. Dave's work has led him to performances with Stanley Clarke, Mike Stern, Frank Gambalie, Trey Anastasio and others.
