Beck Goldsmith grew up with rural Nottinghamshire, England as her backdrop. Her passion for music began at an early age, and by the time she reached her teens she was already writing and performing with confidence and conviction. Beck drew her influences from time spent flipping through her dad's vinyl collection where she found herself drawn to the likes of Joni Mitchell, Carole King, Van Morrison and Jackson Browne, and her talent for songwriting followed suit. She spent six years providing vocals, guitars and keyboards for a variety of UK bands before finally taking the plunge and going solo.

Always driven to retain the integrity of her music, Beck chose to set up her own label, Elk Road Records, and release her recordings independently. Her debut album "Purely Second Guesses" brings her stunning vocals and depth of songwriting to the fore. With a strong roots-rock flavour and a rich assortment of instrumental arrangements from full band to stripped-back harp and strings, it is an honest portrayal of personal experience that touches the core of human emotion.
