Beecher Smith lives in Memphis, Tennessee, with his family, including a Boston terrier. An unabashed misanthrope, he practices law to support his passion for writing poetry and prose. He was Elvis Presley's personal attorney, probated the late entertainer's estate, and remains of counsel to Elvis Presley Enterprises. His poetry earned him two poetlaureateships (Poetry Society of Tennessee and Mid-South Writers) and induction into the International Society of Poets Laureate. Published works include one novel, THE GUARDIAN; two anthologies, MONSTERS FROM MEMPHIS and MORE MONSTERS FROM MEMPHIS; over one hundred poems and forty short stories, including those contained in RECOVERING MY SANITY. This abridged audio version was recorded at the famous Sun Studio in Memphis.
