Details:
There's a lot here, for only six songs. Right off the bat, you get some lazy philosophy with a conga-driven hacky-sack groove. There's a song about a bed that you can stand a glass of wine on. A Willie Nelson song with a ramshackle, Salvation Army vibe. There's a song so compellingly sad that Nashville producer Bobby King was heard to say, "that song just tore my posterior all to hell." {Or something to that effect}. There's a tune that references those cheesy articles in men's magazines, the ones that promise to make the reader a better lover. Finally, you get a song with a bridge composed entirely of laughter.
Pam Boylan and Steve Mitchell live in West Nashville. They are friends, musical partners and instinctively disorderly people. But, if you ask them, out the chaos comes beauty. Or at least a good song.
