'A Fairer Love' is the first solo recording made by Jacqui Sharkey, singer/ songwriter from Donegal, Ireland. It was recorded in Gweedore, County Donegal, Ireland in June of 2004 and is a small collection of traditional folk songs from Ireland, Scotland and Italy, including 'Parla Più Piano', the Italian love song written by Nino Mota and Larry Kusik for the epic movie 'The Godfather' (1972). The E.P. also includes 'A Red, Red Rose', written by the Scottish poet, Robert Burns in the 18th century, and two traditional Irish love songs, The Dawning of The Day' and 'Red Is The Rose', also dating back to the 17th & 18th centuries respectively. The E.P. was engineered by SMG Media, Gweedore, Co. Donegal and Jacqui is accompanied on the recording by celebrated Scottish & Irish musicians, Ian Smith (acoustic guitar), Jim Maley (piano) and Stephen Campbell (fiddle).
