ORB was formed in 1999 originally as a classic rock cover band. With personnel changes in 2000, the band stopped focusing on playing other people's music and started writing their own. The journey started with the creation of the songs "Ophelia" and "Set Me Back" and the band went on to complete 8 more songs to finish their debut CD "In My Mind". The final mixing and mastering were completed in May of 2002.

ORB is focused on bringing certain elements to their music -

1. Diversity- They try to get a mixture of different styles on each song so that there is something for everyone and every mood. The songs portray a range of emotions and moods that takes the listener on a journey of experience and enhances replayability.
2. Sincerity- They are passionate and honest in their music, but careful to not take themselves too seriously
3. "Catchiness"- They like to make snappy, addictive songs that people can't get out of their heads and want to listen to over and over
4. A little raw and edgy- not too much, but just enough to add flavor
5. Guitars, guitars, guitars...

Currently, the band is playing gigs around the Portland, OR area and hard at work on their next CD. ORB absolutely LOVES feedback and response, so please feel free to email them.
