The first thing Sunbelt Revolution did once they formed as a group was get the 'songwriters rulebook' ..... and they threw it as far as they could! - Sunbelt Revolution doesn't follow a set of rules or conform to a certain genre, they just write and compose music that feels natural and has meaning. -- Singer/songwriter - Chris Lewis puts it all out on the table when writing songs. He writes about the things he has witnessed and experienced from friends & strangers as well as other things in general that has made an impression or difference in the way he sees the world around him. His lyrical content is somewhat traditional most of the time but still relevant to present day and most people can relate to what the songs are about. The ability for an artist or group to do that makes each song a little more personal and keeps the fans wanting to hear that next track on the CD! -- Guitarist - Jimmy 'Bo' Norwood brings a multitude of sounds & styles to Sunbelt Revolution's debut CD 'Burn Me Down' with heavy influences from 60's guitar legends: Jimi Hendrix & Jimmy Page to later artists such as: Kurt Cobain & Dave Grohl. This combination of legends has infleuneced Bo to create a tone & style that is unique and not easily mimicked by many guitarist that have tried to find a 'signature sound' to make them just as distinct. -- Bassist - Gene Brown brings years of experience to the group having been the bass player for several regional-level bands and one country-legend artist as well. He knows how to work those jazzy-runs into a traditional bass line to compliment each song one-by-one and still be right on time with the groove! - Listen to the bass line on 'Morning Dear' and others tracks too on 'Burn me Down' . And to round out Sunbelt Revolution's line-up is Drummer - Vince Tanner. He brings a little more to the group than just being the timekeeper as he was the lead singer for several local rock cover-bands and adds backing vocals on some of the songs heard on 'Burn Me Down' as well as at the LIVE shows. Vince tries to be a solid 'backbone' drummer only to compliment each song with different accents and grooves to give every song a unique time-signature but not 'overplay' the rhythm section. He admits he sometimes pushes the envelope on the dynamics and speed of the music at a LIVE show to help add 'drive' and energy to their performance.
