After nearly 12 years away from active performing, Rob has been generating excitement and âbuzzâ with promoters, fellow performers, and acoustic music fans with the release of his CD "You. Must. Stop." The CD features the award winning tracks âLike You Doâ and âWhy They Play The Gamesâ and the country infused tune âLove You As You Break My Heartâ.

The project was recorded in Nashville, TN with rising star producer and guitarist Thomm Jutz (Producer and Guitarist Nanci Griffith)and an all-star group of Nashville players including Barry Walsh (Gretchen Peters, Boxtops, ) on piano and keyboards, Mark Fain (Ricky Skaggs) on the bass, Fatts Kaplin (Roy Bookbinder, Tom Russell), and John Gardner (Dixie Chicks, Earle Scruggs, James Taylor) on drums and percussion.

The foundation tracks and vocals for the project were essentially recorded live in a 2 day session that captured the interaction between these songs and these top musicians. Baltimore based songwriter and folk diva Karyn Oliver provides harmony vocals and expressive color to Lytle's versatile, likeable, and emotionally honest vocal performances. As expressed by one fan, these songs will âstick with you like gum in your hair!â

Rob Lytle, 1996 - Rob's self-titled CD was co-produced by folk veteran guitarist/songwriter Geoff Bartley, who also plays guitar on the project. Other back-up vocalists and musicians include Dar Williams, Ellis Paul, Amy Malkoff, Lori Fassman, Eric Kilburn, Franco Estille, John Sands. and pianist Dan Shapira contains ten songs including Cry For The Working man, and That's My Head That's Talking.
