Electric Sheep is the first of a storyline series where each new album continues the tale of Robobear. The music in this album takes from various styles such as rock, classical, blues, atonal, trance, and pure techno. The music here also tries to incorporate many musical theory skills and techniques to create interest such as mix meter changes, challenging harmonies, and motifs. It has a balance to the album with Prelude and Postlude mimicking each other. The idea behind this music is to create a home for all music listeners, not just one genre which is why it can be difficult to categorize this music. Exhibition was designed as a metal/techno fusion style with the drums switching between pattern styles. Revision was designed to have a classical sound with the harpsichord sounding instrument with a simple I-IV-V7-I chord progression. What makes it different is the rock drum set and the mix meter surprise in the middle. Klatsch is more of a straight forward dance beat, but it uses more complex harmonies than most typical techno or dance compositions. Dance... is by the most complicated with a 6/8, 7/8, 6/8, 10/8 mix meter, 12 tone method organ part, and a recurring motif throughout the album.
