Details:
Colcannon is a dish made mostly of potatoes with various additional ingredients depending on availability, leeks, scallions, onions, cream, butter. It's a side dish that goes well with ham or bacon. This traditional song was made famous by the Black family singers, especially Mary Black
Hank Hogan performed this tune LIVE at his regular Sunday Brunch gig before a small audience.
It is a sort of "What You Hear is What You Get" recording. Only minimal changes like Equalization, Normalization and conversion to WAV were made. The audience thought the song was over before my favorite verse so there is a slight delay before the last verse that mentions the Irish Elf, the clurichaun, was sung as a "second ending" of sorts.
