Samantha received her first dulcimer for her eighth birthday in 1993 and has been happily playing at it ever since! She's played at various venues, from parks and pizza joints to the acoustically perfect Sheldon Concert Hall in St. Louis to music festivals around town and away from home. From Memphis to Baltimore, Asheville to Palestine. Sam has garnered the titles of Southern Regional Hammered Dulcimer Champion, Illinois State Hammered Dulcimer Champion, and has taken second and third place in the National Hammered Dulcimer Championship in Winfield, Kansas. Sheâs been honing her skills playing dulcimer and fiddle and is putting the finishing touches on a follow up album to her first, Cow Spots. Now an incoming senior at Washington University in Saint Louis, majoring in business and music, Sam is busy incorporating college into her musical life! Samantha âplays well with others,â so just ask her to jam!
