ROCK: Modern Rock, POP: with Live-band Production

Details:
O.B.X. combines modern rock sensibilities with a sense of history that includes influences from multiple genres and several eras of music. In the end, the goal of the band is to write and present memorable songs with great hooks and lyrics that connect with the audience. This, coupled with a high-energy live show that leaves nothing behind on the stage at the end of the night, is the backbone of O.B.X.'s "easy-to-like" appeal.
Lead vocalist Christopher Weiser is a seven-year veteran of the Los Angeles music scene, with headlining appearances at such venues as The Roxy, The Whisky A-Go-Go, and The Troubadour to his credit. His vocal and songwriting credits during that time included such Hollywood staples as Tainted Youth, Symphony after Dark, and Cringe.

Darren Gregory and Tony Lima were accomplished players around the
Atlanta music scene, having been attached to several popular club bands including Southern Blend, Apogee and No Clue. Rick Brumley completed the line-up, coming to Atlanta via Ft.Lauderdale with time spent in pop-rock act The Tastemakers as well as local college radio favorite The Isotopes, a hard-driving punk band. Rick also brought to bear his accomplishments as an engineer, having worked with notable indie and Major Label acts in the rock, country and hip-hop communities.
The band had been performing under the moniker A.T.5 when Rick came on board and thus O.B.X. was born.
O.B.X. is now actively booking live dates and working at Surf Ranch Studios, aiming towards the completion of their first CD, tentatively scheduled for a February 2004 release. They are currently seeking management and legal representation, as well as a record label or distribution deal.
