Life affirming, three-piece, British, power-pop. 3 minute songs packed to the brim with melody and attitude.
12 MP3 Songs
ROCK: 60's Rock, POP: Beatles-pop
Details:
Born from the phenomenon that was the Benson Garage Implosion, Reading-based passion pop three piece OffTheRadar has been causing a stir since 2001, playing anywhere from house parties to outdoor festivals, and picking up a loyal following along the way.
The band's first promo CD was released in May 2002, and immediately created a buzz, with copies finding their way to people all over the UK, Europe and beyond, getting airplay first on Oxford's FusionFM in the UK, and then as far afield as the Student Broadcast Network in Germany, and Serbia-Montenegro national radio.
The second promo CD "Here It Is!" bagged the boys their first set of dates in New York City in 2003. The mini-tour was such a success that OTR went back in April 2004 for more, playing to enthusiastic audiences and making loads of new friends along the way.
One of the tracks from "Here It Is!" found its way on to the compilation album "Abuse Your Friends ..4" from legendary UK underground label Velocity Recordings in 2004.
OTR's debut album 'Seen From Space' was released on Velocity in July 2005. Variously described as "an absolute stormer" and "The Mother of All Pop Albums", "Seen From Space" has already attracted a lot of attention from press and radio in the UK and in Europe.
What they say about OffTheRadar:
"One of the best bands around... the perfect ready-for-radio sound. Their fine-tuned rock has the horsepower of a ten-tonne truck. " (Linda Serck, BBC, UK)
"Pure energy... This is power-pop at its very best! 12 great songs to jump about to. Remove all ornaments & PLAY LOUD!" (The Overflow Network, Holland/UK)
"'Seen From Space' is an absolute stormer - mellow, life affirming and essential. Buy your copy today" (Blah Blah magazine, UK)
" ...this will no doubt be gracing our radio airwaves some time soon, and with the sun still trying its best to stay put, it'll be a very welcome place for us and OTR" (Artrocker, UK)
