Details:
THE GREEN formed around September 2001. The band consists of Richard Booker (guitar and backing vocals), Matt Kent (drums), Dave Taylor (lead vocals and guitar) and Steve Abram (bass and backing vocals), ages range from 23 - 29.
Armed with a collection of Dave's acoustic ideas, the four members worked on original material. They have recorded 2 self produced albums in their own studio (The Green Album 2002, Schizophonica 2003).
In 2004 the band travelled to the States to play the New York Music Festival on which they won Best Overall Band Award. Also on the successful trip, they won Best Overall Performance Award at the Whiskey a Go-Go on sunset strip. Whilst on tour in LA the band met and teamed up with Jeff Gross of Jag144 studio's.
The Green returned to the UK and started writing a new album which would be produced and mixed by Jeff Gross and Matty Spindel. They liked what they heard and started work with the band.
Armed with 11 tracks, the band returned to LA in March 2005 and recorded what is to be called 'Primary Colours' which will be released in August of this year.
It's not all been hard work, the band have taken some time away from recording this year to accept Best International Band Award from the Orange County Music Awards in March.

Some Quotes
"Strong, confident, powerful, well rehearsed. And those are what I can think of only half way through the first tune! A great style, like a new form of Indie that embraces the US sound that has a strong presence from the UK into its own mood. The song writing and structuring stands out as quality from a mile off" - Giggedweb
Strong, accomplished songs, well recorded and well presented.

Great musicians with some very well crafted songs - an excellent album from hugely promising act' -
