Slam Hound is a four piece metal band from Memphis TN. The band was started by former Back Alley Grind members and long time friends Carroll Gray, James Fresh and some other damn dudes. They hooked up with a drummer who knew Shawn Halsey. They played a couple of gigs together before the drummer quit. A few months later they found their current drummer Steve" Wildman" Waddell. Slam Hound has been together since 2002 and are making their mark on the Memphis music scene by playing such events as the annual Dingo Fest shows, Memphis in May, Budweisers Tru Music Live and Metal Fest. They are known for putting on a wild show in the local clubs and being a band that people will love or hate, either way you will remember this band when you see the show. They are the under-rated bad boys of Memphis. Slam Hound has currently released their debut CD Lace, Leather and Chrome and have recieved good reviews in local magazines such as The Memphis Playbook and the Memphis Flyer..
