Details:
I have been playing and writing for more than thirty years and have never taken the time to record original material on my own, up until now. I started recording a couple years ago, trying to put down the tunes I play out, but a year and a half into it I had nothing I was happy with.
I had been in a five year writing slump and suddenly I started writing.
(almost) Live Form the EazeOn Inn is a compilation of every influence, every genre (other than, dare I say it, rap) I've been involved with. There's a healthy dose of blues (Honey Jar, No Way, Walkin'), I've always been a fan; a touch of reggae, done yankee boat-neck style (High Tech Man, What Will Be); some ambient things that came out of my guitar ((from a bottle) and Visions of Venus); some eletric rocky stuff (Awakening, First World Strutt); a song I wrote in memory of a good friend who died in a canoe accident, Where He Begun; a nature provided march recorded at my place in the summer of '04, the seventeen year cecada (March of the Cecada); and the rest is just fun stuff (all the rest).
I recorded all songs myself on a Tascam 788. All tracks have guitar, some multiple tracks, and bass. A friend who also did the mastering of the CD added the drums to some tracks when he heard my tracks screaming for percussion.
Most of my studio time is spent helping area tallent with demos. I do little performming anymore but am already working on the next CD.
I do offer a guarantee that this CD will fill all of your auditory needs with just daily playing. Like the CD cover says, "...leave your troubles at the door...sit back and listen..." I truly hope you enjoy your visit to the EazeOn.
