Spencer Washington has been singing since the age of 5yrs Old he and a child hood friend Brian Attmore learned how to play the organ at the age of 14yrs old which he learned from a lady by the name of Nelly Davis and a Junior High School friend Marcus Lewis. He got allot of his vocal training from a young lady by the name of Starlet Smith who taught him how to harmonize and to control his voice. At 15 years old he was accepted in the Julia Richmond's Talent Unlimited High School Where he studied Opera Singing for 3 years.Was offered to further it but he say's his heart wasn't in it so he continued his Gospel singing which landed him a job singing for the play (Momma I Want To Sing) while he was still in High School. In the late 80's He got the chance to sing background for Gospel Artist Vanessa Bell Armstrong and a duet with her on stage.
He also Sang Background for Jonathan Butler, Mariah Carey, R. Kelly, Celine Dion and George Michael's 1992 he was the Special guess soloist at Karen Clark Church In Detroit Michigan. In 1998 he was featured on the TD Jakes Sacred Love Songs Album Which opened the doors for so many things,he says it was an awesome experience. He was taught allot of his recording skills by a well known Producer Lorris Holland & John Smith. And hope to work with Kim Burrell and Lalah Hathaway In the near futher.
