Space Is Max was born of Eugene Scalisi's desire to bring the world his musical vision, and out of his frustration that he could never find other musicians to share that vision. To date, Space Is Max remains a studio recording only project, but Eugene is always on a search for musicians that would enjoy bringing the music of Space Is Max to the live stage, and he is currently considering playing it on the street if he has to. People say, "write what you know" and what Space Is Max music is about is bringing the inner world of Eugene Scalisi to the outside world. Space Is Max doesn't just march to the beat of its own drummer, but to the beat of an entire marching band.
