The bandâs first full length CD in three years, "Spinning In My Grave (My Sodden Bedsheets)" is a collection of nine tracks tightly focused on The Spider Translatorâs dark and suspicious dreamland. Paranoid fantasies and fear-filled hallucinations are brought to light and set to music with lurching rhythms and languid melodies. Consistent with past offerings, the CD contains a provocative mix of songs, samples, and improvisation.

"Spinning In My Grave (My Sodden Bedsheets)" benefits heavily from The Spider Translator members' involvement with various side projects since 2003. Studio techniques, songwriting skills, and musical dexterity have all been honed from the past three years of live performance and studio recording experience. The result is the most well performed, engineered, and mixed The Spider Translator album ever.

The Spider Translator sound is a blend of experimental rock, neo-psychedelia, goth rock, and old-school industrial. Also present is the influence of rhythms and styles from Carnatic, Inupiat, and Haitian music. Bands with similar interests or that have significantly influenced The Spider Translator include Cabaret Voltaire, Coil, Devo, Einsturzende Neubauten, Legendary Pink Dots, Liars, Psychic TV, The Residents, Roky Erickson, and Wire.
