Spiral Crush is a family trio from Brighton, MI and recent addition to the exciting and diverse Detroit rock scene. They blend their many influences of classic rock, Metal and pop into a high energy, loud, unique blend of rock that is all Spiral Crush.
Fueled by the desire to create music that they enjoy, they don't concern themselves with the worry of being part of a particular musical style. To this band it doesn't matter what you want to call it it's all Rock! That's just what you get with their first album for Record Company Records (RCR).
Simply titled Spiral Crush the album is a AC/DC meets The Police approach to rock 'n' roll. Simple and catchy but powerful. To truly appreciate the band you must see them live. Loud, energetic, and always's ready to put on a show.
The band is made up of singer/guitarist Shaun Smail, bassist Brian Krause and drummer Scott Smail. With Shaun and Scott being brothers and Brian their cousin, they've been playing together in bands for over ten years.
In 2000 they decided to strip it down to a three piece that is now known as Spiral Crush. They quickly began working on new material that they recorded at the Loft recording studio in Saline, MI. They've been hitting the clubs since the album release in late 2001, and have been gaining a stronger and stronger following with every show. Currently working on new material for a new album, with the hopes of recording in summer of 2003, and playing out everywhere they can, They should be rocking a club near you soon!
